Ezekiel DC Reinvents His Path With Amazon Academy Open

There’s something different about the way Ezekiel DC speaks now. When we caught up with him, the conversation wasn’t centered on the past it was about direction, focus, and what he’s building next.
After being removed from his position as CEO of Amazon Media Group, Ezekiel didn’t disappear from the scene. Instead, he shifted gears. Today, he’s working as a barber a move that caught many off guard, but one he speaks about with clarity.
“Life doesn’t always go how you plan, but you keep moving,” he told us. “You adjust and find your way again.”
That mindset is now driving his latest move the introduction of Amazon Academy, a new initiative aimed at empowering creatives. Through a strategic partnership with Tiny Memories Baby Studios, the academy has launched a 3-day Photography Masterclass, focused on practical skills and real industry exposure. But as he explained, the vision goes beyond just training.
“We’re not just teaching photography. We’re building creatives who understand the value of their work and how to grow.”
For Ezekiel, this is about creating opportunities and raising standards within Malawi’s creative space.
“There’s a lot of talent out there. What’s missing is structure and guidance that’s what we’re trying to bring.”
The partnership marks the beginning of a broader plan to develop platforms where creatives can learn, grow, and position themselves professionally within the industry.
It’s a different chapter focused, intentional, and rooted in building something that lasts.
